New exhibition Galerie Helena Vayhinger from 24.06.2023

16/06/2023

New exhibition Galerie Helena Vayhinger from 24.06.2023 to 12.08.2023 will - pass - become again.
I am personally very much looking forward to it. So far it is the essence of my study of the writings of Jacob Böhme (1575 - 1624) of the last 2 years. An attempt to transfer into a visual form what I was able to take from his writings.

Please read the gallery letter from my gallery owner Helena Vayhinger

become - pass away - become again - is the title of the coming exhibition - a very symbolic title for the continuation of the gallery work, quite in the spirit of my husband, who was still full of ideas when he helped to conceive the next exhibitions. After long weeks of indecision, I will now continue after all, encouraged by the encouragement of many people, not least the town council and many cultural workers in Singen.
cultural workers in Singen, such as our art association, who offered me their support during this difficult time and made me understand again and again that our gallery belongs to the town.
Our mayor, Bernd Häusler, has now taken the opportunity of this "re-emergence" to thankfully open the new exhibition with a word of greeting.

Becoming - passing away - becoming again / a metaphysical encounter
Welcome and subsequent dialogue between artist and visitors
to deepen the theme, accompanying discussions and films are planned, details to follow.

A few more sentences about the work of Steffen Diemer;
driven by almost two years of study of the writings of Jakob Böhme, Diemer has conceived a series of 47 ambrotypes for this exhibition. The endless cycle of nature from Böhme's philosophy and the Japanese aesthetics
of wabi inspired him to create this cycle. Jakob Böhme (1575 to 1624), probably the
most important German theosophist and mystic, called Hegel the "first German philosopher".
the "first German philosopher" and Hermann Hesse said, "one must first completely
completely empty oneself in order to be able to read and understand Böhme".
It was the time of naturalism, which also shaped Böhme. Extraordinary
at that time, however, was what Böhme carried outwardly in his search for God.
and above all so outrageous that the church saw itself shaken to its foundations. For the first time, someone came up with the idea that one does not necessarily need the Church for one's faith. Thus he said, among other things: "You will not find a
book where you could find the divine wisdom to search for more
than if you go to a meadow green and flowering with thousands of herbs.
....". "This meadow, a homage to Boehme or even the meta-physical encounter with him, is the essence of my whole life. Collected in one winter, in a new stage. The seeds still firmly in the capsules, waiting for spring to give new life. So it is the cycle of becoming and passing away and becoming again" says Steffen Diemer.

Jenny Holzer quote - Words are not enough to describe my feelings - with these words I make an attempt to thank you all,
to our friends, to many companions, to countless acquaintances, whose sympathy, attention and support I was allowed to experience during this painful time - it was and still is comforting. Finally, my wish - please continue to be kind to us, to art, to the artists and to me.
Yours, Helena Vayhinger
