New project, the soul of my city, with the Hugo Ball Gymnasium in Pirmasens

New project, the soul of my city, with the Hugo Ball Gymnasium in Pirmasens. Yesterday saw the start of a very interesting collaboration with art teacher Mr Ehrenreich and his 5th grade class at Hugo Ball Gymnasium in Pirmasens.
Together with Inessa Siebert and museum educator Anna Wölfling, we built a camera out of a so-called Coke can with the pupils.
The camera will be set up by the pupils today in a place of their choice and will remain there for a whole week. During this time, a photograph will be taken using the simplest of means. A can with a hole and a piece of photographic paper, that's it.
Roughly summarised, the aim is to define a special place for the pupils in advance, which represents a special feature for them alone. For whatever reason, the viewer does not necessarily have to realise why this place is special for the pupil and thus represents what is special. In addition to their picture, each pupil writes a 200-character text.
The resulting works will be part of my exhibition at Museum Forum Alte Post in September 2026.
Inessa, Mrs Wölfling and I are already very excited about the result.
