The endless cycle of becoming and passing away
The endless cycle of becoming and passing away. Thus you swing eternally, you pendulum of the world, the probably most important German theosophist and mystic Jakob Böhme (1575 to 1624) wrote this down.
Driven after almost 2 years of studying the writings of Jakob Böhme I am now in the process of creating a cycle of new works. All as ambrotype and thus unique pieces on black glass.
This branch with fruit is one of 47 works that are shown together as an installation. It is an allegory of winter. Each time in a different arrangement. Just as a meadow changes.
All grasses, twigs, fruits...I have collected in my immediate environment.
