Ausstellungseröffnung in der Bundeskunsthalle Bonn
Exhibition opening at the Bundeskunsthalle Bonn. The opening of the Expedition Weltmeere exhibition on 1 October 2025 was overwhelmingly well attended. This shows me how great the interest in the marine habitat really is.
Among other things, the exhibition highlights how important it is to protect this habitat, on which we are indirectly dependent.
I am exhibiting 10 works from my algae series there. Algae played a key role in the emergence of life in the early days of our planet and still store almost 50% of the CO2 produced today. The damage caused by excessive concentrations of this gas in our atmosphere, such as global warming, is a well-established fact. Avoiding this is extremely important in order to reduce global warming. Our Earth is already at its absolute limit in every respect.
