In the summer, I take a break from creating and focus mainly on literature

In the summer, I take a break from creating and focus mainly on literature. Each of my projects is based on literature. There is no one direction that I find interesting. I work through it, make notes, which I then go through again, sometimes years later, and always draw new inspiration from it. I therefore always try to write down in my own words what I consider to be the essence of what I have read.

Texts often only become clear to me years later, or what I have written down is of such enormous significance that I will probably spend the rest of my life trying to understand the context and incorporate it into my art. Like the writings of Jakob Böhme, for example. I've been studying him for a few years now. I am currently working on: Forty questions about souls. I think that will keep me busy for the next 10 years. I'm also currently re-reading: The Book of Tea by K. Okakura, which deals with the Japanese tea ceremony.

I will keep you posted here from time to time about what else the summer reveals to me. In the meantime, have a good time and enjoy the summer if you can.
